Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa
Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa is a fitting testament to the nation's heritage and a storehouse for some of the country's most precious treasures. It celebrates the unique multicultural nature of New Zealand through art, exhibitions and multimedia. Highlights include virtual bungy jumping, a day in the life of a junk shop and the chance to walk through a reconstructed slice of real New Zealand countryside.

Visiting this museum is a great way to learn about the fascinating and dynamic cultural and geographic history of New Zealand. Whether you have only a few hours, or a whole day, checking this museum out is a must!

The Maori history and art is fascinating and the museum's descriptions of the (continuing) conflict between native and settler is (mostly) objective and fair-minded.
This is a must-see for anyone spending more than a day in Wellington.

the middle, divers, swimmers and small boats, this lovely bay is ideal for all ages. It has inspired artwork ...
