building it better!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/01/08
i love the girrafe cage because you can get really close to them!! i was a couple of centirmeters away from one. also some of the animals are silly and pose for a photo if you have your camera out!! it is so cool!!. i think some of the animals like the tiger should be a bit closer because you can't see them that well!!!

Fun for everyone, but mind the hills!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/19/07
Nice little zoo, and the kids love it. However, this is the most hilly zoo I have ever seen. Kinda scary the first time we went here with a twin stroller!! Pretty laid back place. No elephants, though, as there is not enough space. They do have big cats and sun bears. If you live in or near Wellington, get a year pass, it is great value!

A must
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/07
I have never been to the zoo myself; however I have heard just the best things regarding the zoo. Most of all I hear that the staff is super, they love and care for the animals like no other. One staff member in particular (Cassy Butler) she has the biggest heart a person could have, and she loves her chimps unconditionally. I plan on coming to the zoo someday to see her and her chimps at work. Allen
