My partner and I were staying on Jekyll for a couple days and wanted pizza, but didn't know the area. I found Fox's in the phone book and then asked a gas station attendant how to get there, and she said how much she loved Fox's on Newcastle St. We had lunch on Wednesday and found out why she was so enthusiastic about the food. The staff was friendly, attentive and smart: they didn't overdo it by asking a million times if we were alright. Perfect service. The food was unusually good. I'll even say excellent. We had the fresh garden pizza--I think that's the name (the one with marinated eggplant).
We had to head home the next morning, but we decided we'd wait around till they opened (at 11 AM) and eat lunch there before we left because it really was that good! It was definitely worth waiting for. We got in there, and the manager remembered us, as did our waitress; she even remembered which pizza we had ordered the day before! We got the same one again because it was outstanding and different from any vegetarian pizza we'd ever had.
The restaurant is on a nice street in Brunswick and has a friendly, easy-going atmosphere. It looks nice on the inside, and everyone from customers to staff were friendly and happy to be there. We will definitely go back the next time we're in the area.
