This stylish upmarket seafood restaurant and bar is situated in a painstakingly restored wharf woolshed built in 1888. Enjoy the seascapes from the big windows and the spacious wood surroundings. There is a formal dining section frequented by corporate types, a cafe, bar and outdoor waterfront seating. The extensive menu and quality cooking, with an emphasis on New Zealand seafood, is highly regarded. Fabulous Thai Fishcakes and seasonal whitebait are treats not to be missed.

Sun, Oct 29th..miserable day with rain and
very high winds...opted for day at Museum

(which is truely rare these days), the
abosolute chic decor..simple, elegant,
welcoming,starched linens!!, incredibly
creative menu and matching presentations,
excellence in quality & preparation. Efficient, polite servers. excellent wines.
Try the Pea Rissotto. Highest of recommendations and equals if not surpasses

we have been to in SFO, Seattle, Boston, NY,
CHI..etx.........Fianl five Star goes to
the restrooms! 4 for lunch with wine $185/NZ

be missed Gibbston Winery, Queenstown, South
Island, for lunch. S & J Rogers, Boston
Sipping fantastic Marlborough wine while sitting on a verandah that looks out over Wellington's pretty harbour is the only way to go here. We loved the food and the people. Abundant seafood, great music. Will definitely be back!
Wellington is the nightlife capital of New Zealand and we visited a good number of bars and restaurants while we were there over summer. We were able to enjoy fresh NZ seafood (oysters, crayfish, juicy prawns, whole blue cod, salmon) and great wine while overlooking the harbour. The staff were efficient and friendly - and it is a big, busy place! We enjoyed our lunch so much that we stayed into the evening, and were able to enjoy a live band playing funky jazz & dance music while the bar filled up. Highly recommended.
The cafe is attached to the City Gallery in the heart of Civic Square, one of Wellington's favourite places to
relax. The decor is contemporary with floor to ceiling windows surrounding a courtyard that provides a sheltered sunny alcove ...

the hunt. It serves an excellent seasonal menu. Garden seating, open fires in winter, moderate prices and friendly service ...
