City Square

Description

Approximately one kilometre from the Johor Bahru Immigration Complex, this shopping center packs in just about everything for everyone. Besides its anchor tenant, Tops Supermarket, other stores showcase a wide range of apparel, jewelry, electrical goods, cosmetics, handbags, shoes, household goods and toys. Many wedding studios offer attractive packages, while Food Junction, the biggest food court downtown, provides nourishment on the top floor. Great choices await you, be it Japanese teppanyaki, Western cuisine or local dishes. For some entertainment, check out Mega Pavilion , a five-screen cineplex with more than 1,400 luxurious seats and possibly one of the best sound systems around.

I like shopping at City Square!
By Evon, 7/19/08
I like shop at there because there have many shop and things I can buy.But i dislike the parking fees is too expensive and the car park security is too low. Much of the stolen case at there....but the management did not solve it. I hope management can attention on it. Otherwise, the rating will decrease down immediately. Thank you!

Secret Recipe:What's so secret about it?
By vannga_nguyen, 4/17/06
City Square (Johor Bahru-Malaysia) is a pretty nice shopping centre, just across the border with Singapore (about 40 minutes bus ride from Singapore). Whenever i come there, i come straight away to the Secret Recipe restaurant-cafe. It's well-known for mouth-watering yummy cheese cakes and it's not easy to find an empty seat there almost all day round, especially weekend. I've myself tried a few cheese cakes and they tasted heavenly good to me :-D. My recommendation: Rocky mountain and marble cheese cakes. What's more could we find? Great food and drinks! Try the "Chicken Cordon Bleu" once and you will never forget it! Boneless chicken meat wrapped around sliced cheese and chicken ham, coated with crispy flour and deep fried. Yum Yum! This usually served with fries and a bit of tomato and salad, which will make full nice lunch or dinner.Great to try!

Cheats!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/22/06
I went to FOS wearing a POLO T Shirt which they happen to sell. When I went back the 2nd time, 5 hrs after I leave the shop to pick up a shirt that I decided to buy, I was detained by the management, and they JUMPED INTO THE CONCLUSION THAT I WAS THE SHOPLIFTER. NO Room for Explaination, negotiation or whatsoever. PLEASE Be AWARE!! FOS, City Square.

Hidden Trove of Treasures!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/24/04
City Square's in the midst of some major revamping, and for the better! The tenants on the ground floor are better mixed and offer a more condusive environment for shopping. No more "pasar malam"-esque weaving around the stalls (except during Ramadhan)Go upstairs and you can find a veritable treasure trove of the hodge-podged ethnicity you find in malaysia - a bit of thai, laos, indonesia, chinese, and malay. A tad seedy in feel but oh what a bargain you can get! Note the little stalls selling gorgeous silks at a steal and little knick knacks of china and wood ornaments.
