The name of this outlet came about because the owner likes to hang portraits of previous and current reigning Miss Macau's on the wall. This all white-tiled outlet is moderate in size but a little slow in service. Be sure to ask for a refill of tea as the staff is not that conscientious at quenching your thirst. Look out for the showcase pantry kitchen at the front of the shop, because oddly enough it has not been used in a long while.
What a treat it was to find the crown of Macau's restaurants! We walked all around the island of Tiapa and visited a half dozen restaurants before deciding on this one, located on the southeast corner of the colonial city. The restaurant decor is one-of-a-kind; how many other restaurants owners can claim four Miss Macaus in the family? But beauty pageant relics aren't the only contributions to the atmosphere. In a mix that mirrors the variety of their food, we were delighted and facinated by the Portugese tiles and wines, South China tea culture, and the aroma of African curried chicken. We were also surprised that this is also one of the best deals on the island! My wife and I got a two-person dinner special and tried over seven dishes served with wine and dessert for less than $35 for two people. Don't miss Miss Macau!
What else can I say? The food was sensational, the interior was inspirational and the service was exceptional!
