Huis Ten Bosch

Description

This Dutch theme park, located to the northeast of Nagasaki City, is one of Nagasaki's most famous attractions, along with the Peace Park and Atomic Bomb Memorial Museum. More than a theme park with rides, Huis Ten Bosch is a miniature Holland in appearance at least. You have Caucasians dressed in traditional costume, old-world boat tours, entertainment shows galore, beautiful gardens with tulips, impressive architecture, shops and restaurants, hotels, and even a small residential district for the wealthy! Call to know the open hours.

The must place to visit in nagasaki
By nuttapoi, 1/31/06
If you have a chance to travel to ngasaki.I highly recommend you to "Huis ten bosch". There are many attraction ,beautiful graden the palace and museam that you can spend for two days. The attraction that i like the most is "Crystal Dream". Don't miss it. Also I like taking a cruise through Omura Bay on the Kanko Maru (a full-size replica of the 19th century warship). In the night time about 20.00 , you can enjoy the firework, the light decoration arond "Huis ten bosch". I stayed at the villa forest hotel one night. It 's situated near the lakeside. In the morning, you can see the duck swiming in the lake. I guarntee that you will miss "hus ten bosch" when you return home.I took the 3 Dozen of picture during travel there.

Former US Navy Got Married Here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/13/05
Since being the Navy station in Sasebo since May 1996, I've heard about this place during my long journey here. It has changed alot since then. One of the new attractions is the kids fun land, where they have lots of rides for the kids. Also, it depends what day it is which makes it more interesting. Example, in June-July or August, Huis ten Bosch has a dance group flying from Cuba to teach you how to dance Salsa and have a Salsa show. In October 11, 2003, was my best day of my life when I got married to my beautiful Japanese wife. My family and parents flew from San Antonio to see my wedding and they loved it here in Huis ten Bosch. We started from the "Passage" on the 2nd floor and go to the "Stad House" or the Chaple in front of a beautiful garden with a big clock on top of a little garden hill. Then from there we went to the "Royal Cruiser De Haag" for a tour around Omura Bay. If you are lucky, you just might see a wedding when visiting there. It's an awsome place to visit with your loved ones, friends, families or others. Take it from me, I promise you won't be disappointed. Oh, and one more thing, don't forget about the fireworks display at 2100 (9:00 p.m.) every night.

I wish I lived here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/15/04
I have visited Huis Ten Bosch 12 times since 1997. The whole park is so huge that you'll need at least two days to see it all, and preferably longer. For me the biggest attraction is the ecology. However there is something for everyone here. There are canal cruises, bus rides, museums, auctions, numerous restaurants, and events and attractions for the kids. The gardens and open areas are carefully tended. The architecture is stunning. If only all towns could be so carefully planned!
