Voodoo Lounge, Fukuoka-Shi

This bar is physically vast by Japanese standards and offers live music on Saturdays and various club nights on alternate weekends. The bar has extensive wood paneling and looks very "jungle" and exotic. The clientele is in the 20-35 years age bracket and well mixed. Open until 5am on Saturday and 3.30am weekdays, it is one of the later establishments for drinking. Drinks are similar in price to other bars in Fukuoka, averaging JPY600. For something different, try a Chinese whiskey on the rocks. Foreign beer is available, too. The bar snacks are also de facto standard price, but a little larger and tastier than available elsewhere.
