Evita's, Ocho Rios

Went in a party of 12 on 11/15/09 and had a delightful experience. Food was divine, from the hors d'oeuvre to the entrees to dessert. The view is divine, the frozen strawberry daiquiri was just perfect, and though I could not finish my lasagne dish because of the mouthwatering appetizers, I made sure to take it home. My sister had the bobsled dessert and she just loved it. All in all a wonderful experience and well worth the money! Longing to go back again!

We were a group of 9. There was only 1 waiter. The moment a group of school kids entered the service just stopped. The food seemed to have been sitting under a heater and. I ate there a few years back and it was good then. I do not recommend the place and my team will never go there again

The ambiance and decor, when you walk in, is just so unique. The panorama of the city, from the verandah, just adds to the romance. The menu is sooo varied and exciting, it entices you to come back...and, prices are reasonable!!!! Evita's even has a 'Kiddies' menu w/ pizza. The service was very friendly and efficient and, as we were advised that all food is cooked to order, we were able to create our own dishes! What a nice experience. Evita's was a really nice surprise: 1st world (or more) service and cuisine, in the Tropics! Mamma Mia... Great find.

I had the "fish of the day" which was grilled grouper. Mouthwatering excellence is all I can say. After days of jamaican cuisine, this was a welcome surprise. Would definitely go back to this restaurant.

A very good location up the hill and overlooking the whole little town. Service is slow and no sight of mangement around. Substandard of pasta which charge top class of price. Recommended to come here to have some drinks only!!

Evita's is a MUST DO on your next visit to Ocho Rios! My hubby and I had the pleasure of dining there last Friday night. Eva, the owner and hostess, greeted us with true Jamaican hospitality and is as gorgeous as ever. The ambiance at night- oh my.. it's cozy enough to fall in love all over again, the view is mesmerizing and the staff is attentive and friendly. Friday evenings feature Maggie, a one woman cabaret spectacular, who lends a romantic touch to the dining experience. If you're looking for action- visit on a busy Saturday night instead when Evita's hosts a full Latin dance party well into the wee hours of Sunday morning! The food is done just right.. I mean, perfect! The Mussels in red sauce and/or the Smoked Marlin appetizers are to die for. The Lobster and Shrimp bisque is heavenly- not too heavy and filled with delectable bits of the freshest seafood. Hubby opted for Penne w/ Frutti de Mare as an entree- perfectly cooked penne pasta LOADED with fresh seafood in a scrumptious red sauce and I had the Lamb Chops, served with Jamaican style mashed potatoes, mushrooms and carrots. Then- don't ask me where we put it- we had some of the best cheesecake ever baked in this hemisphere! All the while, we were accommodated in every way possible.. no one minded that we stepped up to the bar in between courses and the staff was happy to serve our dessert there, as well. Speaking of the bar- Evita's is well stocked with the finest brews, wines and liquors available. We sipped our favorite B & B all evening! All in all- it was a wonderful meal at a fairly reasonable price. I will never go to Ochi again without visiting Evita's... no way, no how. Don't miss it! Sincerely, Liz and Cory Massi

Came on a cruise ship to Ocho Rios, short taxi ride to restaurant (could walk if you want to). Beautiful view overlooking Ocho Rios, staff was very friendly and efficient. Food was fabulous! large portions not a bad meal among us (and there was 13 of us)!! Not cheap, but not overly priced either. Well worth it! Shannon D. Melbourne, FL

Evita's is located in a wonderful location on a hill overlooking Ocho Rios. The prices of the food and taxi ride up the hill match the location. However the food fails to measure up to the lofty view and cost. Better to go up for a drink after eating at the Jerk Centre.
