Gatto Nero has long been one of Turin's gastronomic landmarks. The original heritage is Tuscan, and it shows in the menu: that means excellent beef (try an award winning fiorentina), the finest fish and seafood, too. The Wild Mushrooom and Alba Truffle, when in season, are worth a try. With an extensive and accurate wine list, you're guaranteed to have a great meal.
It was in walking distance from our hotel which was across the street from the train station. We had two terrific dinners during thanksgiving week, 2004.
We are returning to Turin this thanksgiving week and will eat there again.
