Valle del Ventena, Cattolica

If you want to reach some lovely hill-top villages, you only have to bike an hour or so from Cattolica. Head for Morciano on the road that goes through San Giovanni in Marignano. From Misano, pass by the car-racing track and the Cella, and turn left for Morciano, the village that lies in the Conca river valley. Pass through Morciano and turn right at the sign for the Santuario degli Uccelli. You will find a lovely park with animals and a well-organized refreshments bar. If you continue, you will come to the meadows alongside the river Ventena. This peaceful and simple place is ideal for a picnic and is only 15 or so kilometers from your starting point.
