You cannot eat worse in Italy...

We (my mother, my brother and me) went to Bologna last week and had lunch / dinner in a couple of good restaurants. On our last evening we wanted to eat extraordinarily good and so we decided to follow your recommendations and go to Donatello. Do not make this mistake! We paid 66 € for pasta and one piece of meat. The pasta (tortellini con burro e salvia, tortellini con rucola e noce) simply tasted awful, it was very greasy and far from spicy. Plus, there was almost no difference between the two dishes. Both were over and over covered with a white, slimy sauce (why was there a white sauce if the tortelli were supposed to be "con burro and salvia"???). The cotoletta looked like a bloody piece of brain on the plate. And yes, we like them cotolette medium. Moreover, we drank a "small bottle" (like the ones you will find in every Italian supermarket at the bottom of the shelves) of white wine, which we had to drink out of water glasses. Noone offered us the appropriate wine glasses. the typical bread you will find on the table of every Italian restaurant resembled styrofoam.
We went home hungry and by now we feel tricked by the "typical italian" ambiance. Indeed, we have never ever eaten worse.
PS: I couldn't sleep that night as my stomach hurt so bad
PPS: If you should nevertheless go there, be prepared - you will need whisky afterwards
