Square Pint (The), Kenmare

This pub is known for its throbbing music sessions at night, but it also offers a peaceful place for lunch. On a fine day, the beer garden out back is a real oasis. The bright blue exterior makes it virtually impossible to miss The Square Pint and its upstairs companion, Cafe Indigo. Inside things appear a bit calmer with more wood in sight than vibrant colours. The Square Pint leaves the big creativity with food to Cafe Indigo, but you can get a wholesome and hearty lunch here for a reasonable price. Peppered chicken with baby potatoes and rice, fresh fish of the day, lasagne and a variety of salads are all popular choices.
