My mother had the diamond from her engagement ring made into a necklace for me for my 21st birthday and we went down to Mr. Heltzel so he could design and make something for us. He came up with a wonderfully subtle and original design that managed to accentuate the size of the diamond and frame it perfectly. He has exceptional knowledge of the trade and helped to choose the most appropriate material. He only works in 18 carat gold and upwards and other precious metals. I choose a platinum setting and platinum necklace. He then sized the length of the necklace on me so that the diamond would sit in the best place possible on my neck. It was the best gift I have ever received, so personal and bespoke and the treatment we received was exceptional. I would definitely recommend Rudolph Heltzel. He gauges peoples taste and suggests ideas and designs to suit them. I found him to be a thoroughly pleasant man. The only drawback was the price - it was a little on the expensive side but we definitly got what we paid for and is worth it for a special once-off gift.
