What a find!

Arrived in Kilkenny at a B&B and the host recommended a few local spots. We tried Cafe Sol about 9:30 PM. Even though they were ready to close for the night we were welcomed in by the owner. We relaxed with a bottle of wine and ordered our entrees. Our food was prepared flawlessly and the presentation was wonderful. All five of us commented on how delicious our meal was and we would certainly make an effort to visit Cafe Sol if we ever get back to Ireland again. Our host was gracious, the food was delicious and the value was exceptional. Clearly the best dining experience we have had in a long time. Be sure to go to Cafe Sol if you are near Kilkenny.

definite haven for a tired tourist and student

I have been taking a class in Dublin and our lectures are often crammed into spaces between museums, monuments, galleries, and other importances; I am also going on a low budget. Much as I love Irish meals, I can't sit down for meals most of the time, so I've been going to Cafe Sol for my coffee and lunches and every time I've been there, I have been served very tasty, healthy food by helpful, kind employees and I only wish there were some of these where I live! Congrats to efficient workers and really yummy cheap food!
