Head chef and proprietor Michael Mee has created a culinary oasis on High Street. The decor is bright and cheerful with purples, reds and whites predominating, and making an attractive contrast to pine floors and beautiful gilt-edged mirrors. The food is fresh and tasty, with a leaning towards the Mediterranean and a good vegetarian selection. A two-course lunch will set you back EUR12 while dinner is also good value. Sunday brunch could be just the way to round off the weekend.
Excellent choice on menu. Superb fresh ingredients,and deicious flavours. Run by a husband and wife, with the husband as head chef cooking, and the wife leading the service team, their personal interest is evident in both the food and the superb service. One of Kilkenny's more expensive retaurants at €50 per person for 3 courses a la carte inclusing wine. It is still excellent value for the experience. Living in Kilkenny this is my favourite restaurant.
