Daily Bread, Jakarta

One of the local 'favorite hangouts in the Pondok Indah Mall, the city-style cafes with paris with red, white and blue decorations and wrought iron chairs and tables. With jazz music playing in the background, is a comfortable place for afternoon tea. Popular choice among the pastries and cakes are offered, including Chicken and Mushroom croissant, cheese and chocolate brownies, chocolate cake and blueberry cheesecake. For the health conscious, the range of salad to make sandwiches ... cakes with a variety of options and a lot of sense to give the freedom to choose. a comfortable relaxed atmosphere to talk with family or colleagues more intimacy.

I visited Daily Bread in Setiabudi, Jakarta over several days. The service was absolutely atrocious and got progressively worse at each visit. I wanted to drink a cold drink (i.e. coke, 7-Up, etc.) but was told that they didn't have any? I then decided to go for a plain water but they didn't have any in the refrigerator. I wouldn't have minded this but the staff are total numbskulls and haven't got the sense to stock up on drinks that customers want. I don't even believe they request their management about this. Daily Bread is an example of a poorly managed, poor service with untrained staff food place in Jakarta. I will not return there again as the service is very very poor and wouldn't be surprised to see this shut down soon. The management of Daily Bread have a lot to answer for and should not be surprised to see their business go to the wall. I can't believe that other people rate this so highly.

Dailybread, in my opinion is one of the best coffee and bakery shop in town. From the pastries to the coffee, daily bread have done a well job in maintaining its quality standard. Dailybread is a recommended for everyone who lives in Indonesia, including travellers who just needed some breaktime for the heatness of Jakarta.
