Pleasure Island, Tamuning

This place is quite expensive with all it's high-end botiques, shopping places, and restaurants but other than that it is a nice walk through the area. Except there are some red-light districts that you should be aware of. Other than that, it's simply fabulous.

This side of Tumon has two malls, plus the Las Vegas show, the Aquarium, the Arcade and many restaurants. I love this place. And every year they have the Pleasure Island Dance Festival

I've been to Guam last August 2005 and will come back this March. Included in my plan is to stroll along Pleasure Island. I went to Guam not for pleasure purposes.During one of my boredom moment I decided to go out and stroll and discovered this commercial strip located at the back of the hotel where I stayed and I love the place! Pleasure Island is just a short commercial strip, the only set back is that you can hardly see snack bars or food chain along the place. But, the place I love most along the Pleasure Island?....DFS GALLERIA!!! Good place for branded items and the sales clerks are accomodating and courteous.

The "what's-what" of Guam is all told in this one-block area of San Vitores Rd. (I'd also like to say the previous comment is about only ONE part of Pleasure Island). In the short walk from The DFS (Duty Free Shopping)Galleria, to the SandCastle, there are so many things to do, you could spend the whole day in this one little area, and not get bored. If you're lucky enough to be there on certain days of the year, the people of the island hold many "block parties" on Pleasure Island, including-but not limited to- "Hot Import Nights": A yearly gathering, featuring the best of the best custom cars. The yearly "Pleasure Island Block Party": Featuring the sights, sounds, tastes, and experiences to be had on pleasure Island. I'd say Pleasure Island is one of the Guam's "Must See" 's
