Ypao Beach Park, Tamuning

Guam is the New Jersey of Micronesia and Ypao Beach is no exception...If it weren't for the nightly beach rake there would be as many beer cans on this beach (completely littered) as every other beach on Guam. Chamarro's believe any time is a good time for Fiesta and there are Bud cans everywhere. Snorkeling is O.K. in the lagoon, but watch out for Sea Snakes and Scorpion/ Stonefish out there, saw quite a few. Palau this is not, do not even bother spending a day here if you are on your way to Palau; but if you like U.S. Sailors & Strip clubs, this is the place to be.

One of the best times to go to Ypao is when your having a bad day and all you wanna do is chill, go to the beach, go there around 6pm the water is warm and the sun is setting, such a great feeling. The sun and the horizon on the water. Its like your right under the breeze and all you wanna do is just stay and chill and say to yourself that this this is the place to be right now. Such a great feeling. then when you leave the water, you think to yourself, i had a good session. And your all chill and happy. But its also good to go there with someone. It'll be more rememorable. PRO's: - Free - Beautiful - Enjoyable - Weather - Atmosphere CON's: - Some trash Other than that, I had a wonderful, wonderful time! Sometimes it can get a bit crowded due to events that are taking place but other than that, it's really nice.

Unless you like littering trash and flies everywhere, I wouldn't recommend this place. It is sad how Guam's people don't have the respect for their island to pick up after themselves. I have never seen so much litter and flies in a park before.

This place is great; a lagoon pool 2-3 meters deep surrounded by waters 1 meter deep, protected by reef with coral gardens and most of the tropical fish species that will gently follow you, no waves, and is perfect for beach snorkeling with children all the day long. Lifeguard on duty until 6 PM. Every day we are delighted by something new in the water.

A great place to take your family and friends. They have concerts and events, carnivals and the water is great and the fish are wonderful.

This place is awesome i love everything about this place!The fish are so friendly that you can actually touch them!Their all so beautiful & colorful!Feeding them with bread is such a joy for me and my family!This place is great to visit!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the perfect location to go when you want to spend the afternoon looking at the fish and enjoying the sun. It is close to downtown and provides excellent Chamorro culture.
