Downtown, Nuremberg

The name Downtown doesn't really reveal anything about this bar which is no doubt one of the most unusual in Nuremberg. Before you can order a drink you have to make your way down a long, narrow stairway which takes you down into the catacombs in which the Downtown is situated. Insiders know that this is a top spot for those looking for a pulsating night out: the drinks are cheap, the beats are fat (60s and 70s grooves and soul) and there is always a good crowd of people. If you are only in the city for a short time and want to find out what Nuremberg has to offer as far as nightlife is concerned then this is a good place to start. You can also fill that gap in your stomach with nachos or sandwiches.
