Zum Goldenen Schaf, Heidelberg

Eating at this restaurant is a bit like eating in a museum, for it has been serving guests since 1749. Furthermore, each room of the house is decorated with period furnishings, arts and artifacts, and guests are welcome to tour the premises. (There are two quite good collections of historical musical instruments and famous medieval codices in facsimile.) One highlight are the regular theme evenings, where the master of the house, Karl Harald Kischka, Ph.D., entertains with wit and insight.
