Description
Valokuvakeskus Nykyaika emphasises photography as an art form. The aim is to give a gradual but comprehensive boost to photographic culture in Tampere. The main focus is on documentary photography, but the monthly exhibitions display other kinds of projects too. Nykyaika also organises seminars and workshops. The centre also has an extensive reference library on photography. An international photography triennial has been arranged five times, with growing success.
