Radiokirppis is an indoor self-service flea market in the center of Tampere, right by the popular Laukontori marketplace. Here people hire booths and bring in the stuff they don't need anymore, selling it at very reasonable prices. This is a good place to find children's clothes, books, small home accessories or even furniture. You will need some time, though, to examine the different tables and to make real finds. New stuff arrives every morning. No credit cards are accepted here.
Radiokirppis is probably the foremost second-hand market place in Tampere. It is run on a table rent policy, so all of the items on sale have been selected and priced by individual customers. This, obviously, results in some ludicrous pricing, but also in some real finds.
The indoor market is sprawling enough to eat up a hefty chunk of your time, so be prepared. Certainly worth a visit if you are in town. The place to go for a piece of decades-old retro Finland, cheap clothing and assorted knick-knacks and books.
