Zhongshan Park, Qingdao

Once inside the large gates, having paid a small fee, you are usually greeted with a man-made, colourful display for a festival or season. The park has different areas, offering trees, shrubs and flowers. On the whole the gardens are maintained quite well. There's no escaping the stalls of cameras, small gifts etc, but you can buy drinks, ice creams and snacks. The other sections of the park hold a zoo and many rides to enjoy. Most of these do require additional payments. All in all, it's a green haven in a busy city.
