Don't have anything marked \"hot\" on the menu.
I like it hot. I regularly add pepper sauce to my food, and I grew up eating West/East Indian. When I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo (hot), I expected a pleasant level of heat.
What I got was an eye-watering, mouth/sinus burning, unedible plate of food. Mixing the lamb & sauce with the provided rice didn't cool things down. Neither did the papadam.
After 5 bites I gave up. This stuff burned ALL the way down, if you catch my drift.
Staff was adamant. "This is how we *always* make our vindaloo", and offered me yoghurt to assist choking the stuff down (No thanks!) rather than something else off the menu or a partial refund. I ended up going home hungry. My companion mentioned that his butter chicken wasn't much better.
All in all, pretty poor menu preparation and service.
On the plus side, they have a great selection of local micro brewery beers, and the menu prices are reasonble. Just stick to the usual bar fare - beers, sandwiches, burgers and fries - which have always been consistently edible.
