Carlos and Murphy's Restaurant and Bar, Winnipeg

i dont like anything the food is gross, i would rather drive 4 hours to grand forks and go to the medera mexican restarant next to columbia mall now thats good food .....i know someone who worked in the kitchen a c&m and they spit in the frier for fun to watch it pop and bubble . sick dont go threre.

What I like about C&Ms is that it has not changed much since day one. While other restaurants try to reinvent themselves continuously C&Ms has stayed with what they do best and serve great Mexican style comfort food. I highly recommend the Carlos Nachos, Wings and Fajitas. It is not a Fred's in San Diego however it is the best Mexican food that I have had above the 49th parallel.

I recently decided to check this place out again, as I had been avoiding it for 20 years. I was disapointed to find that nothing had changed in all that time. The food tastes like someone had tried to replicate Mexican food by looking at pictures of it! What is that horrible stuff they are trying to pass off as cheese sauce? it tastes like it has about 10% cheese in a weak white sauce made with skim milk. 7-11 has better cheese sauce! The rest of the meals were horribly bland and tasteless. I imagine the only reason this place is still open is the fact the serve a lot of alcohol. You would have to be good and drunk to enjoy the food.

my friend left me and they were nice and called special transportation. I HAVE A HANDICAP IT WAS HARD TO GET INTO FROM A WHEELCHAIR.

Ive been going here since i was 2. No other restaurant compares to it. Its got that homey touch, with great service, amazing food, and an excellent atmosphere.

Again any restaurant it seems in the village does well, it's the busy location. If you want bland be theyr guest. If you want mexican go somewhere else.

This was easily the worst Mexican food I have had in a long time. The food was fairly tasteless and lacked any real character. If you like bland food, this is an excellent example and you will not be disappointed. If you like food with spice or flavour, steer clear of this restaurant.

I moved to the USA and there is no Carlos and Murphy's here and I am going through withdrawl for their chimichangas. they are THAT good!

and everything else. it's really good. the service isn't THE best in the world, but it's definitely not the worst. The bar part is also a good place to sit and hang out and have some appetizers with some friends.

It's been 10 years since my husband took me there for our 1st date- it was the perfect place- great ambiance, yummy food. We had a romantic table in the corner. It holds such a special place in our hearts our dogs names are Carlos & Murphy! We look forward to going there over the holiday- ditching the kids and enjoying the magic of the table in the corner!
