Amici Restaurant and Bombolini Wine Bar, Winnipeg

Amici used to be THE place to go. After my visit last weekend I won't go back. Upon arrival, there was a backlog of people waiting to get in. Upon seating, we gave our drink order and were not informed of the evening specials. Other tables were offered this service but not ours. The waiter made one appearance to see if I wanted another drink. When the food arrived, unlike in previous visits, the food's presentation was terribly lacking - very ordinary. One last visit by the waiter to see if we wanted any coffee or dessert - not the usual visit from the dessert cart - and the bill. Very disappointing evening ! Service was lacking, presentation of food was invisible - don't waste your time here.

I love Amici's. They may be on the pricier side, but not by much and if you are looking for a cheaper alternative they have Bombolini's in the same building. Same chefs too! It is completely worth the trip!
