US Egg Breakfast & Lunch Restaurant, Scottsdale

I had heard about this on the internet. I went 3 times during the week I was in Scottsdale April 2010. The owners are great. I want to go again but of course it is a bit of a distance from Vancouver Island to Scottsdale :-)

Great breakfast cafe, good for lunches as well. The wait staff and manager are very freindly. Very cost effective, can be noisey

The only thing that upsets me about US Egg is the fact that they are not open for dinner. They specialize in brunch foods, and I recently enjoyed the most delicious Arizona Frittata. It came in a skillet with the egg on the bottom, covered in a nice semi-spicy salsa, with a tremendous amount of vegetables and dash of melted cheese (I opted for no sour cream, but that comes as well ordinarily). I also had a side of seasoned potatoes and an English muffin. My food was excellent and perfectly cooked, and I noticed the plates of other customers looked equally enticing, especially the pancakes. My party of three was seated quickly, and although the interior of the restaurant is not spectacular, if you come for the food and your company, you will leave happy.

Great breakfast place! We went there twice the week we were in Scottsdale. Better menu than the chain restaurants by far.

We travel a half an hour just to go to Tempe for the protein pancakes. The restaurant is family owned and operated it is always a pleasure to eat there.
