In 1996, Hong Kong's Lee Lai Shan won an Olympic gold medal for windsurfing, which catapulted the sport into popularity locally. A good place to start looking for information is the Pro Shop where they will let you know what you need in terms of equipment and can put you in touch with various rental businesses as well. Advice or rental information on the same is provided by Stanley Windsurfing Centre.
