Escuela Tipo Federación
This school was erected in 1945, during the government of Juan Jose Arevalo, the man who also designed the circular structure of the building. The idea was to provide education within a more modern environment. There were many schools built in this style, but only this one remains. Opposite the building there is a monument erected by Rodolfo Galioti Torres, which is three meters high, known as Triptico de la Revolucion. It shows three figures armed with rifles and ammunition and carrying books and mallets in their hands in commemoration of the revolution of the working classes. As it is a school, it is not possible to visit the building inside, but you can appreciate it from the outside.
