Want to go for a swim, but not so keen on paying the prices at the private health clubs? No problem! Hong Kong Island has a number of public swimming pools. A word to the wise however: avoid peak hours and weekends. Crowds can be a problem. Best to call ahead and check opening hours and facilities, as these vary from pool to pool. Be aware of winter maintenance closures from December to March.
