Fast Break Athletics, Chattanooga

This was my first visit to FastBreak Athletics, and it was outstanding! The person that assisted me was very knowledgeable about running (the entire staff are dedicated runners). They definitely know their stuff! The service was amazing! He looked at my feet and stride and narrowed my options to the best shoe for ME, not something that wouldn't work on me. Also, they were was extremely patient as I tried on every pair and even ran around the parking lot in comparsion! Great store! Great service! Will be a repeat customer.

I will only go to this place to purchase my running shoes. The staff are all experienced runners so they understand and know what you need. I was very impressed with their service in examing my foot and stride before recommending a couple different types of running shoes. I also enjoyed how they let me know on how I could improve on running. This is the only place to go to get running shoes with great customer service!

I am extremely finicky about my shoes. Kinda anal actually. They have to be perfect. But at the same time I hate to spend a lot of time shopping. I went in, they examined me walking, and picked out three to choose from. I ended up spending some time trying to decide which pair of shoes to pick, but they we're very patient with me as I walked about 50 laps around the store before going out to the parking lot to get the feel. Ended up with a good shoe that I love.

I have visited this store 2 times in the past 6 months and they do have outstanding products. However, the customer service is horrible. I just went there today to attempt to return a triathlon swimsuit that my girlfriend purchased at the beginning of July '08. The salesman with whom we initially spoke implied that she had bought a suit that wasn't her size. He was rather arrogant and wrong. Then the owner (we think) came out and proceeded to get defensive, as he overheard the conversation from the back room. He was rude and blamed the facility where she swims, the Chattanooga Downtown YMCA, for having too many chemicals in the water. Then he claimed she bought the wrong type of suit for the type of swimming she was doing at the YMCA. My gf was trying to ask for advice on what type of suit to purchase that will last for training so as to avoid purchasing a new one every 6 weeks. He offered no help or advice, simply gave her more attitude with her questions. The suit was falling apart in at least 3 places, where you could see through the material. We were prepared to not only purchase a new suit for her today but also to make further purchases such as running shorts. There's no telling what we might have bought in the future. However, I did have a great shopping experience at Rock/Creek outfitters. Bought some nice trail shoes, base layers for fall, water bottles, trail maps, and flip flops. They have a larger selection of equipment and better customer service. We definitely will pay them future visits for our outdoor needs.

I have bought my running shoes and swimsuits from Fast Break for years, and I am never disappointed in the service I recieve. The sales staff always makes sure that customers are buying the product that best fits their needs. The owners even offer a water cooler to runners in the area. I really appreciate their excellent selection and service, and plan on being a customer of Fast Break for a very long time.

I'm grateful to the woman at The World Next Door who told me about the place. The owner waited on me and gave me the perfect shoe. It's been a long time since I had that kind of service.

I have to agree with all of the other 5-star reviews. Every time I have gone into the store I have been impressed with the customer service. Every person working there has a substantial background in running and has the knowledge to assist with recommending shoes, apparel, etc. The things internet shopping and big box stores cannot compete with is customer service and product knowledge. Fast Break Athletics has excellent service and I recommend them to everyone I know who is looking for athletic equipment.

Outstanding customer service. If you are looking for professional advice on shoe fitting, this is the only place to go in Chattanooga. They will recommend the best shoes for you, not push something on you that won't work well for you. Prices are reasonable compared to on-line, but the service is well worth the small price. Join the local track club and take advantage of their discount.

I loved how they knew exactly what to look for in my stride and foot shape to fit me with the perfect running shoe. I will definately be a repeat customer.
