It was 4th of July weekend, and I thought this deserved a review . It wasn't that busy, and a friend and I were seated right next to the table by the kitchen. There were a few booths open next to the windows, and I asked to be seated there and I was told that it would be about a 10 minute wait ... and then I was promptly walked back to the hostess station to wait.
I then watched about 4 different parties get sat before me (in the section that I had requested) as I continued to wait. I then went to approach the hostess to inquire what was going on, and she just stared back at me. The manager came over and I tried to talk to him and he then just picked up the phone in the middle of the first ring and then left.
I've been here before and the food is pretty good, but this kind of service is atrocious. They need to get their act together or I'll be bringing my business to the many other excellent BBQ places that are within a mile of this place.
This place has BBQ down pat. I look forward to every visit. I have to say that the comments of bad reviews must either be from competitors trying to give them a bad name or you are from another planet. If you are that difficult to please, do us all a favor and eat at home and make room for those of us who know a great place to eat when we see one.
I'm not a big BBQ person. However, if someone suggests Lucille's count me in.
The ribs are delicious, so is the tri tip, the chicken and everything else they make there. And the sides such as mac&cheese or mash potatoes are just awesome. We don't venture into 2nd street too often due to parking problems but if it's Lucille's I'll park a few blocks down the street and walk there no problem.
I'd heard great things about Lucille's. I was extremely disappointed. They don't even have a smoker. It's just ribs in an oven with a poor bbq sauce. It's a nice restaurant atmosphere but the bbq is mediocre at best.
This place is extroardinary! The food is delicious, service was exceptional and went home more than satisfied. They have very big portions so I would not get any appetizers unless you are with a big group. I loved it and will be back again! Yummy
