Captain Pete's, Orangeburg

Probably the worst restaurant I have ever been to. When we first got there we placed our drink orders and after looking over the menu I decided it was cheaper to eat off the bar. First the waiter never brought us silverware, I had to take them off another table. Second when he decided to get a second plate there were none at the bar we had to wait over 5 minutes for clean plates he eventually had to ask the waiter and the food was not good probably the worst restaurant I ve been to. The best part was probably the hush puppies the were good, a bit greasy but good. Maybe if you order something off the menu it will be better. But my opinion don t waste you time coming here. Now I m not a review type person but something has to be extremely good or extremely bad for me to go out my way to write a review and this place was bad.

it's ok for a small town, about the only seafood place in orangeburg, in fact is the only one.

I took my handicapped cousin from the nursing home on an Sunday outing to Captain Pete's. She fell in love with the hushpuppies. I plan to bring her back this weekend, she is in a wheelchair and this is treat for her. She commented that this outing makes her feel like a human being again. Thank you Captain Pete's.

i have found that captain petes performance is unreliable. sometimes is great but most of the time it is not. the seafood portoins are clearly not fresh and the management is rude and seemingly unconcerned with customer satisfaction.
