Ricardo's, Las Vegas

I manage to travel to Vegas once a year and when doing so I make a trip to Ricardo's. One reason is the fact it is away from the casinos and all the tourists. This is where the locals like to eat. And they do so with good reason. The food here is excellent. The various tastes leave you wanting more. The service is attentive and friendly. Now that I live in the Midwest where no one knows how to make good Mexican food, these trips west and to restaurants such as this remind me of what I am missing. Definately worth the 10 minute car ride off the Strip.

The Winter Worlds Senior Softball Tourney in Vegas, found us in search of a good Mexican restaurant. A local (of Hispanic origins) recommended Ricardo's. Prices are moderate, the flavors very good. They serve a mild and somewhat spicy salsa with the chips, but if you like it hot, ask for the salsa picante. Wow, what flavor and great heat. There were eleven of us and everyone enjoyed their dinner. The margaritas were held most favorable as well. The service was great. Oh, and the magician was highly entertaining. We were all talking about him the next day. Now, how'd he do that?

We recently had a wedding reception for 30 people at Ricardo's and it was great! Antoinette took care of every detail, the food, service, and drinks were great, and price very affordable. Everyone had fun. The pictures online don't do it justice, it's much nicer in person.

Was just driving by and it sounded good. The food and service turned out to be excellent and large portions. Fresh nachos and guacamole. Have recommended it to several people since. We were there in Apr. 07

We visited Ricarado's on W. Flamingo. The service was friendly and quick. The salsa was fresh (and the Margaritas huge). I had the cheese enchiladas, they were deliciious. I love the tangy sauce with the creamy cheese, and the portions are huge. Ask for a doggy bag ahead of time. This has become a regular for my son and I. Which is another good thing. You don't have to walk through a casino to get to it, it is a stand alone restraunt, thus being family friendly. Which is a good thing here in Vegas.

This place was worse than a fast food restaurant! It's not very often that you can witness people like the management at Ricardo's! By this I mean, it's appauling to see that people can really be this heartless! If you plan on booking a wedding dinner there, save yourself the trouble, and just go somewhere else! You will not remember your special day in any good way if you have your dinner here! All I can remember is my overall disgust at the way my family and I were treated. It seems that customer service is not something Ricardo's has. THey only see their profit by booking your reservation, and don't wish to really cater to you. If you want to remember the trash of Las Vegas, then go here....if you want to have a good memory, go somewhere else!

I love Ricardo's! Great food, excellent servers, a really quality, authentic Mexican place. I love their HUGE fajitas and their pulled pork sandwich. I've always had great experiences here and am a repeat customer.
