We went to eat dinner around 6:30pm on a Friday night 7-22-11. We had a short wait, which was not a problem because Friday is a busy night for most restaurants. We were seated about 10 minutes after arriving and didn't get a drink order in until about 5 minutes later, not by our waitress. Then it took an additional 5 minutes to receive our drinks. Finally we met our waitress who could care less about serving a 2 top (all her other tables were parties of 4 or more). We put in our appetizer order and went outside on the deck to take pictures. About 10 minutes passes and we were finally able to order our food and 2 more drinks. They inform us that our drinks may be a few minutes because they cannot find the bartender. Our waitress spoke to us a total of 3 times during our meal and they had too many employees working for being such a small restaurant. Hated everything about this place and will never go back. If you like bad service then you should eat here.
Horrible food and poor service is what we received. The waitress was less than thrilled to wait on us. The food was overpriced and overcooked. A steakknife had to be used to cut through the shrimp. The mixed vegetables appeared to have been microwaved and were cold in some areas. I ordered the Tuna steak medium rare and reveived it well done. The bill was incorrect and the staff had a hard time correcting it.
I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Good Food, Nice atmosphere, Amazing dessert! I still think about the chocolate peanut butter cheescake on a regular basis. Heading back to OBX again in September and we will be hitting up the Sandbar again.
