Colburn Earth Science Museum, Asheville

I expected a very small mineral museum and was very pleasently surprised to see the dinosaur bones. This little museum is jam packed with bones and minerals in every corner. The minerals included raw and cut. They had one of those ultraviolet rock mining displays where you push a button and hear the mining "explosion." This was not a very large Museum and was in the same buildings as serveral other exbihits. (Including one that was for smaller children and had a human skeleton riding a bike in the window) So you could split the family and some go in Colburn and some in the other.
