Climbmax Indoor Climbing Center, Asheville

I love this place! It s a great place to take the kids, and adults. The place is pretty big and has lots of walls to choose from. I would definitely recommend this place to people looking to have a good time.

We took our Pack and Troop of boys ranging from 6 years old to 18 years old and they all had a ball. There was different levels of climbing and the staff was awesome and very helpful to ensure everyone had fun.

Owner was nice, but tape was falling off all the walls and few routes were well marked, holds spun and most the routes were boring.

owner and staff were very nice and the prices are good. I really liked the outdoor wall but it should of had about 8 more routes on it. Inside the bouldering was good but the top rope/lead routes need some help. Gym was kind of cramped for top ropes. Also there were not enough top rope routes. All in all a nice place though. I will be back.

Great bouldering problems, nice sport routes outside, good top-roping inside, with some sick roof work. Stuart, the owner, is a great guy, and all the staff are cool to climb with. Being a local, we all love this place, it's affordable, laid back, and has some great pull downs. Even the strongest climbers are more than will ing to help those not as experienced, and the new boulder with topout has some epic sit-start V?? problems. If you're in the area, hit this place up.

this is the best climbing gym in the greater asheville area. if you're looking for an economical place to practice your moves on a regular basis or a rainy day this gym can't be beat. there are other walls in the area but none with as quality routes as this one. the inside top roping is about 25' with bouldering on all walls and a bouldering cave. outside wall has awesome texture and is about 40' (three stories) you can lead sport routes inside and out. has cheap parking in the garage next door and lots of places to eat in walking distance. if you're looking for some polished yuppie joint to strut your new prana outfit for the hotties then this aint for you. but it costs about $8 for all day bouldering or top roping (can rent any equipment for a few $ more) and they offer a cheper rate for members. the staff are friendly play good tunes, are safe and knowledgeable about local climbing areas. the regulars sport the same attitude as most friendly folks in the a'ville area.

ive have been to climbmax a few times iwth my camp for local climbing competions. its alot of fun. they have some challenging walls and a few boldering caves. its a lot of fun and a good way to pass some time. its also in centrel ash. so there are many other atractions inthe area

smells bad, too small for the $$ - like a backyard climbing wall built by neighborhood kids.
