Magnolia's Raw Bar & Grille
Look out onto the original bricks of Market Street from the charming patio while dining at this popular downtown restaurant. One of the most requested items is the raw oysters on the half shell (when in season). The Beer Battered Cod Fried Platter and Maine Lobster Tail Dinner are also popular items from their seafood menu. Soups and salads as well as non-seafood entrees are also available. There are three dining rooms and the enclosed patio is open year round. Live entertainment livens things up Friday and Saturday nights.
Magnolia's is an ok bar/club for the a small city like Asheville. It appears to be the trendiest spot in town but then again I haven't lived in Asheville for the last 3 years so things might have changed.
The atmoshpere is friendly and tends to be an older crowd 30's and up. Suprising lack of college students with so many schools around this general area. I recomend it for people new to the area and out of towners because it can get old after a while.
