Located on famed Biltmore Estate, between the house and the winery, this renovated calving barn is a lovely place to enjoy lunch. Open and airy, the restaurant looks out onto a beautiful courtyard. The menu continuously changes, revolving around what is fresh and in-season—many of the restaurant's ingredients are produced on the estate. The extravagant lunch buffet is laden with sumptuous choices including beef raised on the estate, and pasta, salad and dessert bars. A beautiful candlelit dinner buffet is served during the holidays and reservations are a must.
I have traveled around the world and of all the restaurants I have eaten in, this is now the finest. The atmosphere, the top notch service, great food for a lunch buffet. Sitting in a lovely garden, enjoying your meal in a peaceful, picturesque setting.
Our son was married at the Deer Park Inn this past week-end. The reception was catered by the Deer Park. The food was excellent. I have not heard anyone say anything bad. Everyone is talking about how good the food was. The decorations were beautiful and everybody had a great time.
I must say after reading these reviews I was somewhat worried about taking the whole family here for Thanksgiving, but, we did it and much to my surprise, it was very good. The turkey was one of the best I have ever had, and I have a lot of experience with making turkeys, and the shrimp, meat offerings, etc.. were very good. I wish they had a broader selection of wine, but, since they make their own, why would they sell anything else. That being said, I endured a glass of their wine and really enjoyed the all around experience. I would definitely go back next year, and take my own bottle.
My husband and I recently visited the Biltmore Estate and decided to eat a late lunch at the Deerpark. We had previously visited the website which listed the menu items offered. We also inquired about the restaurant at the Biltmore Estate and they also showed us a lunch menu. However, when we got there, they were only offering the buffet and not any of the advertised items. After looking over the menu (SINCE THE ONLY MEAT WE EAT IS FISH)We decided to stay and eat the buffet which was supposed to have Salmon and shrimp. After having a small bowl of soup and a salad, we realized that the buffet did not offer any of the advertised items. When we brought this up to our waitress, she was very rude and unaccomidating. We left after a small desert and a rather large bill for what we had eaten. We will absolutely not eat there again and recommend that you actually look at the items on the buffet prior to sitting down to eat - - - you WILL be surprised and likely disappointed!!!
the afternoon buffet is $16 and is a great value... not your typical all-you-can-eat buffet... tasty, well-prepared, unique flavors, great atmosphere... eat a good brunch here and have a lighter dinner.
I think of Mr. Vanderbilt's rolling over in his grave were he to learn of the low quality of food and service at Deerpark. We came from Georgia to enjoy a day at Biltmore Estate and might have considered our time a waste had we not been directed to the Corner Kitchen, a fine restaurant tucked away in Biltmore Village.
The beef was tough and full of cartilage, the trout overcooked, the broccoli soggy and discolored, the black bean soup thick and gummy. My dinner roll was quite good. The price was high, the fare substandard. It was my first meal at Deerwald and, if my sanity prevails, it will be my last. I cannot recommend the restauarnt.
The Biltmore Estate was amazing, however I don't suggest eating at Deerpark. I found hair in my food and complained to the manager, who didn't even offer a free meal. I had my family of 5 there. Will not be going back, expected much more.
