St Paul's Episcopal Cathedral
Originally constructed in 1849, St Paul's is not only one of Buffalo's most beautiful churches, it's one of the oldest buildings in the whole city. After a fire in 1888, the Cathedral was rebuilt, and is still providing weekly services to its congregation. The peaceful Cathedral Park setting is also a favorite spot for downtown workers seeking a shady spot to eat their lunches.
The music throughout the week is something everyone needs to hear. Whether you like classical music or not, the joy of hearing young boys (ages 8 to 14) singing very difficult music, in various languages and in an angelic manner is mind boggling. The sound is something to embrace and enjoy. It is really worth checking out on a Sunday, or during the week for one of the evensongs.
