Villas Patio Mexican Restaurant, Marion

I would not recommend at all. The table was dirty & sticky, The menus had salsa all over them. The food tasted very bland. No flavor.

We'd driven by Villas and seen the restaurant with a lot of traffic, but walked there some distance to get margaritas on a hot night and found that the manager that night had a clock that ran about 10 minutes faster than real time, so after waiting, were told that they closed (earlier than the posted time). The manager was in a real hurry to lock up. Wasted a trip and now probably won't go back. I'd advise maybe calling before you go to see if they're actually going to stay open for their posted hours. Too bad--we weren't even looking for kitchen items... First time this has happened to me in a restaurant.

The best Mexican Restaurant I've ever been to here in the US. I love the seafood, it's like being in Mexico. I really and highly recommend this place.

Plain and simple, the Chile Rellenos at Villas Patio are the standard by which I judge all other Mexican Restaurants. It is typically the first thing I will order when visiting a new Mexican Restaurant, and none I have found are as good as Villas. I am also very fond of their Authentic Enchiladas. The flavors are fantastic! The service is always friendly. The patio is great when the weather is. Their Tequila selection is also quite good. Sadly I no longer live in the Cedar Rapids area, but needless to say this place is a MUST VISIT for me when I am in town.

Excellent restaurant. Love it. We've been there several times and the food is always excellent. Great service...would definately recomnend.

Delicious food at a great cost. I often find Mexican Restaurants food to taste fake, but this was 100% real. The chicken was fresh and the beef tips were to die for. Our waitress was so kind, and they have the best Margs in the Cedar Rapids area!!

We love MX food and eat it often. We thought Villa's was greasy and the restaurant somewhat dirty. Wouldn't go back. Food was ho hum. Atmosphere seemed fun though. Try the shredded pork at Hacienda's reastaurants. Very good.

The food here is fabulous and very affordable. We went here for a friend's birthday party a while back and I chose to have my birthday gathering there tonight :) The waiters are extremely accommodating to large groups which is sometimes hard to find in the area. With the flood destroying my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant, The Hacienda, Villa's is taking the top spot in my book.

excellent food. Went there after reading the other reviews here. The best mexican in the cedar rapids and marion area. Cheap too!
