Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruises & The Lockport Canalside
This AAA Gem Attraction is a real journey through history, so much so that it was even featured on the History Channel. Starting in Lockport, passengers will sail through many worthy sights including the historical "Flight of Five", though the main attraction is when the vessel is actually raised 50 feet through Erie's only double set of locks. The ship passes beneath bridges and along the canal's cut-rock walls—accompanied by a narrated description of historical sites and Erie Canal folklore. Afterwards, you can enjoy a tour of the Canalside Emporium, with its Canal Interpretive Center and gift shop.

My husband and I made the mistake of having our wedding at Lockport Locks. Although the scenery was beautiful and unique the owners were terrible. The owners treated our family, friends, and guests horribly! The wife completely mis-planned our wedding time-line which caused everything to run late. Because everything was running late we were not able to take pictures (I have none with my family), we were not able to greet each of our tables, and we were only able to utilize the DJ for 1 hour of dancing. Not only did I waste my money at the Locks, I also lost out on a lot of money with my quality vendors. I would NEVER recommend this venue for a wedding!
Mike and his crew are great people and do a perfect job! I have worked with them on several occassions and they were very helpful. Any request we had they took care of, they moved tables changed decoration, and then some. Their food is out of this world and they know how to serve and clean up. We hold meetings after dinner and you can't see them clean.
It is a great place to hold an event or just for dinner. I will go back again and again.
Thanks Mike, Steve P
I had taken the locks cruise with my Dad and a friend last year, and wanted to do something special for my Graduation and to celebrate his 85th birthday this year. We took the cruise first and even though it was a somewhat rainy day, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Captain Mike and the crew were so much fun...very informative and entertaining!
When we docked we went inside to the meeting room where a delicious buffet was ready for us. The food was just great and there was more than enough for our guests to go back for more. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional throughout the whole party. We were able to bring our own cake and the staff cut and served it for us. Anything we wanted or needed was provided. A truly classy location for your party, wedding or any special event! And sooooooo worth the price!
If you are from the area and have never taken this trip, you need to do it. And if you're from out of the area, you especially need to do this.....very informative about the Erie Canal......great for school field trips. If you plan anything fun this summer, consider this trip.....we'll be going back again soon!
Thanks so very much for everything Sharon, Mike and your super Crew! We loved every minute!

I went with a tour group. We all enjoyed the canal, and to see the 'poor' guy run from one bridge to the other to raise and lower them. When we returned, we had a very nice luncheon and enjoyed the play "Finnegan's Wake."
I enjoyed it very much now I am going back with other people who want to go because I said I enjoyed it so much.I am from Baltimore, Md. and I tell everone who say they are going to Canada to stop at Lockport and take the tours.
The boat left on time and the narration was excellent. The kids that were with us loved the old stories and the music. We really enjoyed watching the bridge man drive from one bridge to the next to put them up only to have to drive back to let us through again. A really informative trip
