A public square that forms itself at the confluence of many streets namely, Delaware Avenue , Niagara Street, Genesee Street, and Court Street. The square is a central location in Buffalo and many streets branch out in different directions there on. A commemorative memorial stands in the middle of it to American President William McKinley, who was assassinated in Buffalo in 1901. Several government and private offices are located in this square.
35 minutes to get from one booth to another, should have been spread out more. just gave up after 3 stands had to spend the rest of my tickets in the beer tent ,overall not a pleasant experience, too bad Buffalo.
food was good when you could actually get to the stand
ever hear of a bottleneck??
Love the taste of Buffalo , I have been going every year since I can remember. Its a great time to "taste" things you would never actualy order at a restaurant, and some things that are good ol favorites! Each year I go I find a new Restaurant to add to my places to dine on the weekend list! I did like it better on main street however, instead of delaware but...i'm getting over it!
This past year I went to the festival for the first time and i was surprised at the amount of people that packed the streets. The food was absolutely delicious. From pizza to wings to various salads and deserts, this festival has every food you would want. Every portion I had was amzingly delicious. This is the best food festival in the country! I love it a lot and am looking forward to this coming year's taste of Buffalo 2008. Every year it gets better, come on out and try it, its during Buffalo's warmest month in July, last year it was sunny and reaching close to 90 degrees. Just for the record, Buffalo is the sunniest city in the summer in the entire Northeast, and its always warm at the festival so weather is normally not a factor or issue. So come on out!
This event was packed with people. The food aisles are narrow and crowded. We couldn't push our baby through the event. There were a lot of rude people there; drinking and smoking. I guess it is fun for the 20 something crowd. Not an event for families with small children.
Great way to sample many of Buffalo's restaurants. Fun but a little crowded and expensive. This is worth the money because you get to spend your money on what you want to eat.
Much better since they moved the location. Doing it again this year.
The Taste of Buffalo is a tradition for the citizens of that area as well as gives a reason for those of us who have moved away a reason to come back. Every restaurant you can imagine is represented, there is entertainment and also a designated area for gambling and adult activities. There are things for the kids to do as well.
It is fun for all, and I really liked the different kinds of food that were offered. I hope to make it back to Buffalo for this years event.
Even if you don't feel like trying everything (which you could never do) it is fun just being there.
If you are in Buffalo while the Taste of Buffalo is going on, you must check it out. It is not just wings... actually it is sometimes hard to find them. So much great food has come out of Buffalo and it is all showcased at this one weekend a year event. Buffalo has the best food and best restaurants of any city in the country. My wife and I try to make it to Buffalo every year for this event, it is a great time.
