Amazing!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/17/11
I went to the Walden Galleria Mall for some Easter weekend shopping, and I loved it! A very clean and spacious mall, and as stated below, especially on weekend nights. Great selection on stores and lots of nice things for a discount that you wouldn't find here in Toronto. I highly recommend this mall! - A very pleased shopper

Yep it's a mall
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/22/11
This is basically like every other mall in America. It has the same boring stores and a fairly gross food-court. I suppose the only interesting about this mall is the bodega. I've never seen such a thing before, especially in a "galleria" mall. But then again it's Buffalo, you can't really expect much.

Beautiful Mall!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/15/11
Great stores and beautiful setting tend to cause you to reach for your wallet more. Shoppers tip: Take a shopping list and head to Forever 21, a store with quality and a small price tag.

Ridiculous Rules Ruin a Good TIme
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/5/11
A nice mall...but the security rules about minors are riduculous. I'm 20 years old, and I was carded at 5 o'clock on a Friday. Unfortunately I didn't have my ID on me, and they were going to kick me out until my 21-year old buddy showed up. The ridiculous rules in this mall make the security look ridiculous. You morons ruined the mall for me and I'll never be going back there. If a 17-year old causing no trouble can get kicked out for no reason other than being 17, your rules need revisioning. Thank you for ruining my mall experience, your true usefulness has been revealed if, instead of dealing with the few troublemakers, you just take the priveleges away from everybody who even comes close to fitting the description of a wrongdoer.

The Galleria Mall Policy. Please Read
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/3/09
Ok parents listen up. if you decide to drop your son or daughter off at the mall thats fine, however they are only to go to the movies, and any Anchor Store in the mall. Dicks, Jc Pennys and Places like that. However they have to travel to those stores on the outside of the mall. and cant not be allowed in the common areas in the mall. the reason being and this is only on Fri and Sat.is if your child is under the age of 18 they must be with someone WHO is 21. if your in the mall with them but you get sepreated you must be with them. at all times. if you are not you will get a call from your Child to have you pick them up. we do tell your children if they do Re-enter the Mall, " You could be charged for Criminal Trespassing... That is big in our mall. When your Child Re-enters that means they dont want to follow the Rules, Security has every right to Place them Under "ARREST" thats were the police come into play.. so if you want to avoid this trouble Go to the mall with your underage kids. Because Security got Strict. and with the Problems we get in the mall its best that you make sure your Child is safe. Security Has Every Right to Enforce this Policy. They are there to protect you. Its a hard enough job as it is. were not armed, we are just Officers assisting you. Dont hate people that help you. think of it this way. if i was to come to your house and open the door, and open your fridge eat your food. watch your tv. and you being the person you are. you would call the police. if you see what i am getting at. thats your property not mine. So if your at the mall, its a privillage to be there. but when you break the rules thats when we enforce the rules. Also look at it this way. Its Private Property.. There are good things to The Security. They are all trained to Do CPR, FIRST AID. They are all trained at what they do. its not something were you apply and they call you a security officer. This is a NYS Issued Security Licence. So People please dont Hate Security. Hate the people thata break the rules because they' re the ones that are ruining the privacy of your shopping. and your saftey... Please Follow all the Rules in the mall. Treat it as if you were invited to be there. Don't Steal because when your Caught your Toast. and that means you can be Removed From the Property for up to 4 Years. Listen to All Security and remember they are there to help you. Let us Help you. Be respectful and remember supervise your CHILDREN.. Thank you. . WGSD...

Best in the Area
By MandyM, 3/6/09
I work in the mall and while it's utterly packed and hard to navigate on weekends because of the crowds it's the best mall in the area by far. The selection of stores is much better. I'd suggest going on weekday mornings/evenings if you want to avoid crowds, the busiest times are Friday nights, and weekends of course. The new garage is terrible to park in on weekends so parking near Best Buy usually works out because people seem to be in-and-out quickly there. "I am absolutely appaled at this kind of behaviour and I don't care what kind of draconian policy's that the mall has adopted towards children. If I were there yesterday, I would have reported this incedent to the local authorities. and possibly had that security person arrested." The mall has had a policy about minors being unsupervised on weekends for several years (at least since I was 17 and I'm 21 now). The signs are placed in front of all entrances. If your 12 year old wasn't being supervised by an adult, then yes, the mall security is going to kick him out. Unfortunately, parents liked to think the mall was free babysitting on weekends and they had to institute this rule. It's not public property, so the security guard has every right to tell someone to leave--nothing illegal about it. There's nothing wrong with the policy--I was asked to leave as a 17 year old but the guard said since we didn't appear to be making trouble, we could finish what we were doing and then leave.

A nice mall
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/08
I stopped at this mall on the way home after visiting Niagara Falls. I had heard it was a popular mall so I thought I would drop in to take a look. It’s definitely a big mall, a little old and outdated, but very clean and bright. It was crowded when I went so lines ups at some of the stores were long, so be prepared to wait a few extra minutes when paying for your items. It was hard for us to find a parking spot, so go early if you want to avoid the crowds. There’s a good selection of stores and it has most major department stores minus a few. The food court was small and didn’t offer a lot, but there’s a Cheesecake Factory and a few other restaurants around the mall. When I was there they were adding on a new extension to the mall that will include a new Barnes & Noble store as well as some new restaurants. The area around the mall isn’t that nice, certainly not as nice as here in Virginia, but I didn’t get the impression that it’s a dangerous area. Overall it’s an ok mall, not the best I’ve been to, but it does have a large variety of stores.

You've got to be kidding me!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/22/08
Love the Walden Galleria - but must defend myself as a Canadian visitor from the post, "Improved stores, lousy clientele". I have NEVER met so many rude people in one location in my life! AMERICANS are the pushy rude folk! As for littering, I can't comment on that - I didn't witness any act of littering from either country any time I've been there. Let me just say it's NOT the American "hospitality" that keeps us coming back - it's the selection in the stores, and the reduced prices for our value.

Definitely worth the trip to the Walden Galleria!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/16/08
Love the Walden Galleria! I am a Toronto resident who has been going there for 20 years! Would much rather shop in Buffalo anyday as opposed to Toronto. More selection, US retailers not in Canada (love Ann Taylor, Macys and JJill), better sales and far better customer service than I ever get in Toronto! Although the Galleria can be busy, it is definitely not busier than most of the Toronto malls on a weekend! I make day trips to the Galleria at least four times a year and an overnight visit at American Thanksgiving b/c the sales are too good not to go and I get my Christmas shopping done in one weekend! One downfall is that Macy's sometimes gets picked over quickly when they have their big sales - likely lots of Canadians there to shop! The retailers should definitely stock the stores close to the border since lots of cross-border shoppers making their way to the US! Another plus - the Macy's One Day Sale! Amazing discounts plus you usually get more when you open a new Macy's card (great for big purchases). Also make sure to ask for your International Discount when you pay! Another bonus is Target is across the road and the Olive Garden! YUMMY! Happy Shopping!
