Villaggio Italian Ristorante, Falmouth

Simple, not a good meal or experience. The food was subpar. I found paper in my clams, there was no bread, and crazy as it sounds no penne left. Our waitress was missing during the entire meal. So who ever says I have eaten all over the world probabilly owns the restaurant. Have lobser in the cape, not italian!!! Get with it, the food realy SUCKS to say the least!!!!

If you want Chicken Parmesan, this is the place to have it! We dine out all over New England on business and I have never had better. Make sure you have the sauteed garlic and olive oil spinach with it. The portion of is so large even a lumberjack could not eat it all. It would be nice to have a salad come with dinner,but it does not so we always order one and split it. Bread basket is good, and as for desserts bythe time I have finished my meal there is just no room. Oh there are a few tables that I would never eat at. One is right inside the door behind a large screen and the other two are on each side of the room,the last tables, and one looks into a hall, and the other you get the lights from the kitchen. If you can snag a window table, good going as lots of people watching on Main Street. Enjoy!

Awful. Unless you are looking to test your ability to deal with frustration and disapointment, steer clear of this restaurant. After being told there was one group in front of us, we sat at the bar and watched no less than 5 groups get seated before us. And each time a group was seated, it became obvious we weren't the only ones that were being lied to. We were all told the same thing and more than one of the groups was steaming angry. Not a good start. one group and 10-15 minutes turned into over an hour of tension filled boredom. THen, the meal. The restaurant is totally understaffed. Nowhere near enough people. We waited for our drink order. we waited for our drinks. we waited for our bread. we waited for our order to be taken. we waited we waited we waited for our food. when it finally came is was OK. Not even close to being good enough to make up for the waiting, the lying, and the waiting. Did i mention the wait!?

Firstly, It is hard to take these reviews seriously. They are reviews from two or three customers that did not enjoy there dining experience. With most restaurant's it is hard to please everyone. With every restaurant, every hostess, and ever waitress it is hard to find absolute perfect... but Cafe Villaggio has a wonder crowd. As a local, and being friends with many summer timers, I constantly request they experience the delicious food and outstanding service at Villaggio (none have came back to me with poor reports such as these). But also none have criticized a restaurant because of a long wait, an accidental spill, or the hostess's being unaware of predicting the future..it's summer time on the Cape folks! I suggest those who travel take the time to check out villaggio for themselves because it really is an outstanding place.
