Grand Buffet, Stockton

Take lots of Pepto with you in your next visit…you are going to need it It had been about six months from my last visit. I stopped going after a bad experience with a waitress. She was rude. I did not report her because it is hard to find a job and decided to give her an opportunity. Anyway, I went back yesterday, 1/1/12, and nobody in my group liked the food. I liked the salmon and the steamed tilapia but they did not have either this time. The food seemed old. They had BBQ ribs but the smelled really bad. I expected the place to be full since it was a holiday but it was more than half-empty. I assume their rude behavior finally caught up with them. People don’t go there to be abused. The place did not look as clean as before. I found hairs in the food sometimes and people have told me they’ve seen employees pick-up from the floor pieces of fruit and return them to the trays. My stomach hurt all night so it is safe to say that I will NEVER go back to this place.

This buffet is so terrible! We used to dine in this place many times in the past but not for now. The last time we were there. The foods seem to be old. They looked like they were re-heated from the microwave. All the steam craps seemed to be stuck together. We also found the restroom, the tables, the buffet hot containers are not very clean either. Therefore, the waitress whom served us was terrible too. Our drinks were almost empty but she did not notice us at all. Also, this buffet has recently removed some items from its menu that it used to have in the past. My wife and I could not pick the items we used to have. She walked around for five minutes and finally she had to get some thing she did not really like it. We definitely would not come back to that same place again. Thank you for reading our post. Great place to ea. Reasonable price for great selection of food they have to offer, especially dinner. I go there mainly for the snow and the seafood. I mean $12.95 per person, where else could u get a better deal than that. It's just unbeatable,man. And now they offer 15% off for 50+ group, which is good. If they offer coupons for small group ,i would have give them 5 stars.

After, church we decided to ate lunch in Grand Buffet,we are in a big group, the lady was a sign to our table, count us by group, she want us to pay her right away eventhough were not done eating, she give us a small paper, stated our number of head in the amount that we need to pay, the price for lunch $12.95, she charge my friend for one person $16.45, for my group 4-adult and 2 kids and 4 sodas, she charges me $99.81,I ask the lady, if this is my bill, she said yeah,she pointed my group, I ask her if she can give a breakdown for the buffet, she turn around, and ignore us, i dont if she understood us or what, I believed the waiteress charges us too much, eventhough the service charges was included. were so disappointed when we left the restaurant, also her service was not exceptional she is no were to be found if we need something......

this place is awesome!Everything was delicious. Service was nice and friendly. Atmosphere seemed welcoming and cozy. I never would expect this from a buffet restaurant. From deco to cleaness to freshness of food to value, u name it. It's haven.My friends and I always come out of the buffet walking like big fat Buddha's filled with Chinese Food. OVERALL:nice service- worth to give it a try. If you're planning on bringing more people to your party,this is woderful choice.

I dont know exactly what the other comments about Grand Buffett Restaurant are from the other individuals that posted comments on this site and that I read here. Just to check it out I went there for Lunch on the 2nd of October of 2009 the price for the Lunch Buffett was under $8.00, actually I think that it was $8.05 total with tax. They told me by telephone that their price for the Dinner Buffett was less than $9.00. They said that the hours that they are open are from 11 am to 10 pm daily. If you like Chinese type food they have plenty of it and it is well prepared, and if you are not familiar with the cuisine by sight they have labels above the food trays that tell you what type of food they contain, you have to remember that they are a Buffett type restaurant, so they would not have the one on one personalized attention that you would expect at a restaurant that is not a Buffett, or serve yourself, type establishment, but the service was adaquate and the employees are civil even though some of them dont speak English very well because I would presume that they are mostly of the nationality of the food that they serve, they are attentive enough to be considered courteous and I have no complaints. There was no pushiness on leaving a tip even though I left one, I found no bugs or cockroaches in the food, the place was clean and well maintained from what I saw and although I dont like their table color very much, I didnt go there to eat their tables but rather the food that they offer.

I found a hair in the sweet and sour soup. Most of the food is very oily. The waitresses/waiters are too pushy and are always in your face. The place is dirty.

yes the food was good for the most part, but the waiter and waitress were pretty rude, i didnt see any bugs though maybe i wasnt lookin good enough, the price was kinda pricy for a buffet, they keep taking my fork and spoon for some reason, i really didnt like the place too much, wouldnt recomend the place.

It is a wonder this place is still open!! The food was just bad and very oily, even the oysters. I agree that the waitstaff was rude. This place was not worth my money and I did let that be known to the manager after I successfully made it home only after having to stop three time to use the bathroom on the way. It's dirty and disgusting, I will never eat there ever again and I do not recommend it to anyone.
