Very disapointing. I love Korean food, have never complained about a restaurant, but this was expensive for food that was small in quantity and poorly prepared. The seafood pancake was greasy.... I am a chef...the used old oil that was beyond it saturation point...oil went right into the potato.
The soup used a commodity chicken base...the meat portion of our other dish was almost non existant.
...delectable, tasty side dishes, personalized attention to detail and service, fair prices, cleanliness, soothing decor, sumptuous entrees and appetizers, what more could you want in a small, out-of-the hustle and bustle Korean restaurant? We were delightfully pleased!
Excellent food and wonderful service. A very quaint, cozy atmosphere - now completely family owned and operated so it tastes as close as you're going to get to tasting like home (though you'll never get quite there of course!) - for anyone looking for a good place to grab authentic Korean cuisine here in San Jose; I'd recommend it whole-heartedly.

I've been to this place loads of times ever since I found it. I used to think this place was pretty average, but after trying a few different Korean places, this place definitely is one of my favorites. If you like soup, their yook gae jang is definitely something you should try. It's nice and spicy and oh-so flavorful. Their bibimbap is also really really good--I've gotten that every time I've been there, with the exception of that one time I tried their yook gae jang. My friends have tried the beef tofu pot and the bulgogi, and they've said both were pretty good as well. So overall, the food is really good. It's also a plus that their staff is really nice. Right when I run out of tea, a waiter is there to fill it right up. Great service and great food make it an awesome place to go.
After years of living in the Japan town area, I finally tried Omogari! I was very pleasantly surprised with the spicy tofu/mushroom soup we ordered. It was piping hot in the clay pot and was so full of flavor! I usually order udon but I was feeling super adventurous. We also tried the omogari special which is mixed veggies over rice with beef. A+!! I finally have another option when I get the munchies! Prices are super good too. I'm coming back for more!
With the reader-friendly menu (including pictures), this is a nice place to try out if you're new to Korean Food. The service is friendly and fast, and the menu items are composed of many staple items. The spicy pork BBQ and bibimbop (mixed rice w/ beef & vegetables) are good here and all others BBQ's are popular. The restaurant is quaint and it's not intimidating for newbies to check out.
I took our team to lunch here and we enjoyed it a lot. I was able to make a reservation for 8 people, which helped since the place got packed at Noon. The portions were smaller than other Korean restaurants in the area (like Santa Clara and Sunnyvale), but most of the food tasted great (kalbi beef short ribs, bulgogi beef, chapjae glass noodles). My only disappointment was the Tofu Soup (soon dubu). It really did not have the flavor intensity I was expecting and I would not order it again. All in all a nice experience and I would definitely go back.
