Today I was so glad I tried Sukhothai again ... The food was wonderful. My wife was delighted with the Special -- Sizzling Duck. The Green Curry, Vegetarian, proved that Healthy can also be Delicious. I will go back again whenever I am hungry in Rohnert Park.

I ate here for the first time 2 days ago. The food was wonderful. I have been looking for a good Thai place in Sebastopol and surrounding area for a while. The service was very good, servers were friendly and the atmosphere is beautiful. I will definitely be going back.

I really love the decor of the place and was looking forward to a really good Thai meal, but I should of know when they didn't ask how spicy I wanted my pangang beef that I was in for a disappointing evening. I upgraded my pangang beef to pangang with rib steak istead. This went up from 8.50 to 15.00. So with that price hike I really expected a good deal of beef with my meal. NOT! What I received was not even 1/4 of a standard portion of a rib eye steak! I would of received more meat if I just had orderd the regular pangang and saved some money. The panang was served with cucumbers and carrots in the curry. though this is not listed as veggies that are put into the dish. When I sent it back all I received was attitude from my waiter who didn't understand why I wouldn't want extra vegatables. I told him that I don't like the taste of warmed cucumber and it changed the taste of what I know as panang beef. So, he takes the dish back and returns maybe 5 minutes later with the dish without the vegatables that were not listed. But then I tasted it was it was obvious that they just took the cucumber and carrot out and reserved it to me. I was upset to say the least. Ther was still cucumber seeds in the curry! When I bring this to my waiters attention he denies it, even when I show him the cucumber seeds. I asked for my bill paid and have not returned sinced. I now know that ombiance is not everything. What I nice veneer they put on but the food, the heart of the restaurant is aweful.

The food & service was excellent - we ate vegetarian spring rolls with yummy fresh veggies, tofu and a delicious peanut sauce. We also had Tom Yum soup which was delicious and very spicy. The yellow curry dish was excellent with jasmine rice, and the pad thai was good (not the best Ive had though). I look forward to trying more dishes there. The staff is very attentive and pleasant, and the bill was not half bad. We were stuffed at ~$12/person including tax.

Excellent Choo Chee curry served with flavorful charbroiled prawns, delicious panang curry - red curry with a coconut/peanut-ty flavor and the Crying Tiger Salad - tender charbroiled sirloin in a light chili/tomato/lime & cilantro sauce over salad greens is very good. The spicy stir fried rice is excellent - the nutty flavored brown rice version is even better than the white rice version. Great service. Beautifully varied curries.

Excellent Thai food. Sonoma County is very fortunate to have a Thai restaurant of this caliber. The curries and sauces are extraordinary - balanced, fresh & varied. I especially like the Panang Curry - red curry with flavors of coconut & peanut and the Choo chee - another red curry served with large, flavorful charbroiled prawns. The spicy fried brown rice is even better than the fried white rice, and there are many options for vegetarians (nearly every dish can be prepared with vegetables and no meat/fish/poultry). The sirloin in the Crying Tiger salad is tender & the sauce delicious & unusual. The chef always seems available to answer specific questions & make suggestions of new things to try. I'm working my way through the menu. The Tom Kha wasn't my favorite - the stock is on the heavy side - and the tofu can be a chewy/hollow. Nonetheless, the food at Sukhothai is superior to any other Thai food I've had in all of Sonoma County.

Authentic & Creative Thai food served by a staff dedicated to their customers. The Eggplant Lovers dish, with it's light sauce is even better than Jhanthong's tasty eggplant dish - formerly my favorite. The drunken noodles are a more savory alternative to pad thai - using the same wide noodles, but with a spicy, savory flavor instead of sweet. The green papaya salad tastes just as it does in Bangkok. Some dishes are a tad on the salty side - the duck, beef and silver noodle soup are a bit over salty for my taste. But overall, this is by far the tastiest and most authentic Thai food and friendliest service (also like in Thailand) I've found in Sonoma County.

Beautifully nuanced sauces, freshest ingredients, creative new specials weekly. Each sauce is unique & nicely balanced - and complements the meat, seafood or vegetable it accompanies. Friendly staff welcomes feedback and accommodates special dietary requests.
