I picked up an order to go today. It was very authentic and fresh. I loved it. This is great food in a funky (not dive) restaurant. Everyone was friendly, lots of locals there. The was ready for pick up very quickly. I ve eaten here about a year ago and it was great then too. Other reviewer must of had a bad day or came on an off day for them. The owner used to be one of the cooks at Domain Chandon so there is definite quality to the food.
This place is overpriced. The entree portion sizes are small. Another minus is when you order a soda for $1.39 they bring you a glass of ice with a canned soft drink. The service wasn't what we were used to either.....we had to constantly ask for refills on tea (watered down) and water and chips and salsa. You would think they would be more generous with the chips and salsa if your tab totaled more than $100. NOT!!! Overall a bad experience we won't go back. Disappointed ....I don't mind spending a lot of money on good food, but I expect good service and I don't want to leave the restaurant still hungry. Oh by the way I bet the other reviews were written by employees or the owners of the restaurant.
Las Palmas offers great Mexican food but even better order something off the menu posted on the wall. The scallops and prawns were delicious. There is a seafood market next door so you know their fish is fresh. If you are looking for delicious food and friendly service try Las Palmas. Another local favorite.
This place rocks! Gourmet Mex @ local prices. If it's not on the menu just ask Owner & Head Chef Juan & he will make it. This is THE hidden gem of relaxed Napa back street dinning. Earlier this spring I had fresh caught grilled Sturgeon with fresh vegetables sauteed over an open flame in Chardonnay. All the magic is done in plain sight & the presentation is exquisite.
Las Palmas is the best mexican restaurant in Napa by far. The food is delicous made with fresh ingredients. The service is very friendly and prompt. I highly recommend eating at Las Palmas. You cannot go wrong with what you order because everything on the menu is great!!
